Although born and raised in Wisconsin, I have spent much time traveling through my time in the military and as I explore the world with my family. Of the 12 counties I've been fortunate enough to visit thus far, Norway is hands down my favorite. I've been married for 18 years and we share two littles that I adore more than anything. I'm hugely passionate when it comes to helping people and also work with many non-profits helping underserved communities, the arts and art education, and love for animals.

Having been a wedding photographer for nearly 16 years, I've seen and experienced the most special moments. Thing is...it's not the first kiss or the exchange of rings or the walking down the aisle. It's the moment when mom whispers a wish for you...it's when your eyes catch from across the reception hall and you both immediately smile because you are thinking of the same thing...it's that flutter as you hear the vows flow out of your body and become reality...it's that giddy moment right after your first kiss when you simply cannot contain your happiness and excitement.

Over the last decade, Colleen Bies Photography with your help and support has raised over $15,000 and supported communities in Laos, Zambia, and locally in Wisconsin.
For many years, I've donated a portion of earnings towards different initiatives with non-profits that are close to mine and my families heart. While there is no outstanding "project" at this time - our donations will continue in 2025 towards the Fox Valley Humane Society. A list of non-profits my family and I support or listed here. Thank you all for your help and support.

Booking is made as simple as possible. To be fair to everyone, I take weddings on a first come first serve basis. A signed wedding agreement along with a 30% non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve your wedding date. Weddings with are limited to 2 bookings per month.
How do I book you as my photographer?

While I am just as impatient as everyone else to see your final images, I sadly cannot work at the pace I wish possible. Because I maintain a full time employment as a Finance Professional as the sole supporter of my little family, it does take me a wee bit longer to get to your images. Engagement photos are ready within 4-6 weeks while wedding images will be ready between 8-10 weeks. You'll see a sneak peek on social media after so your session to have something to peek at while you wait.
WHEN DO I SEE MY IMAGES?

Challenge accepted! Fear not my friend. Part of why I love what I do is my ability to really get to know you both and to help showcase your naturalness. Real smiles and laughter and love all around. Much of my work is helping guide you both into natural and maybe unnatural but fun settings that encourage true and authentic actions reactions vs. "poses".
WHAT IF I'M SUPER WEIRD AND AWKWARD IN PHOTOS?

I only take up to 2 (max) weddings per month and no more than 6 weddings per year. This allows me to give my couples all the time and attention they need while caring for my family and spending adequate time with friends.

Schedule a time to meet with me either in person in my downtown Neenah studio or via zoom. We can chat about all the details and how I can best document your wedding day.
